Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has no doubts about the attitude of new signing Danny Sturridge.

The Liverpool chief slammed talk that England star Sturridge, 23, has moved from Chelsea just for the cash.

He said: "If it was about money, he wouldn't be here. I've seen reports that he came here for £80,000 a week, which is absolutely ridiculous. It's nowhere near that.

"He knew this was a football decision and he knows that what's important is being happy."
