Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is reviving his pursuit of Blackpool winger Thomas Ince.
The Daily Star says the England Under-21 star is sure to quit Blackpool, with Cardiff ahead of rivals Swansea for the winger's signature.
But Rodgers is now set to resurrect his interest in the former Anfield prospect, who left for Bloomfield Road on the cheap.
Cardiff have tabled a £40,000-a-week pay deal but Ince, 21, has been in no rush to complete the move.
And the prospect of a return to Liverpool with the promise of regular football would give Rodgers the edge in negotiations.
