Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is pushing to close a deal for Wolves goalkeeper Dorus de Vries.

The Mirror says Rodgers is trying to agree a bargain £700,000 deal with Championship Wolves for the Dutchman who was his first choice at Swansea in their promotion season.

De Vries, 31, would jump at the chance of a move to Merseyside and a crack at becoming first choice - with Spaniard Pepe Reina's form erratic recently.
