Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers hopes to close a deal for Fulham striker Clint Dempsey this week.
The Sunday Mirror says the new Kop boss is set to agree an £8million deal that will see Dempsey arrive at Anfield to strengthen his attacking options.
The American will follow Fabio Borini as Rodgers' second signing since his appointment.
