Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers plans to re-adjust Steven Gerrard's position for tonight's Champions League clash with Ludogorets.
The Daily Mail says Gerrard's deep-lying role and form came under scrutiny in the aftermath of the 3-1 defeat at Crystal Palace.
Rodgers is looking at ways to get the best out of the 34-year-old and he is likely to play further forward against Ludogorets with Lucas Leiva poised for a return to the team.
Despite his defensive role, Gerrard is currently Liverpool's leading goalscorer.
