Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers enjoyed a dig at Manchester United in the aftermath of the launch of Sir Alex Ferguson's autobiography. Ferguson takes several shots at Liverpool in the controversial read, including claims they are "eight players short" of being title challengers.

So, Rodgers was asked, is he eight players short of having a title winning team here on Merseyside?

"That's probably two short of what they need," he replied.
