Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is eager to tempt Steven Caulker away from Cardiff City this summer.
The Telegraph says his displays in a Cardiff shirt have alerted Reds manager Rodgers, who sees the 22-year-old as ideally suited to the club's much-vaunted recruitment policy of buying of young, British players.
Despite some sparkling attacking performances this term, the Reds have shipped 35 goals at the back, and Rodgers is keen to address the issue in the close season.
