Liverpool boss Rodgers keen to ease pressure on Sturridge

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to ease the expectations around Daniel Sturridge's return from injury.

The striker will be back after the international break.

Rodgers is more wary of heaping too much demand on Sturridge.

When asked if Sturridge will have too much pressure on him when he returns, Rodgers said: "I have said that can't be the case. It is about the team.

"There is a collective responsibility. He is a top end player and hopefully he will get out on the field and show that.

"He does make a difference and they are the players that you need in your team. We hope he will be back for the next game and then we will take it from there."
