Liverpool are interested in Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker. The Daily Express says Caulker has been in impressive form for Cardiff this season after making an £8.5m summer move and was rewarded with a call-up to Roy Hodgson's 30-man England squad to face Denmark this week.
But the defender's efforts may not be enough to keep the Bluebirds in the Premier League and reports suggest Liverpool are preparing to swoop for Caulker should Cardiff get relegated.
Brendan Rodgers spent a season working with Caulker at Swansea when he signed the defender on loan from Tottenham and the Liverpool boss is convinced that 22-year-old is the man he wants to sure up the Reds sometimes porous back line next season.
