Liverpool are being linked with Barcelona midfielder Alex Song. The Daily Star says Spanish reports suggest Brendan Rodgers wants to sign the ex Gunner to further bolster his midfield and that he believes Song will be available at a knock-down price.
Barcelona have been on a huge recruitment drive this summer as they prepare to be placed under a two-window transfer embargo.
They are still allowed to deal in and out up until the close of the current window so the Reds could be able to reach an agreement.
Tottenham are also thought to be keen on Song as Mauricio Pochettino moulds his squad at White Hart Lane.
