Liverpool boss Rodgers: I'm in charge of transfers

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers insists he maintains control of transfer policy.

Rodgers is facing the prospect working with a 'technical committee' at Anfield.

"It's one of those things that's been in the press," he told talkSPORT. "It's the same as every other club. There's been a lot of change [at the club] in the last six months and the old recruitment team has been broken up.

"We went through the transfer window without a scouting network and team, which makes it very difficult.

"We've got Dave Fallows and Barry Hunter in from Manchester City, who have been outstanding for them and will be looking at targets. Already in the first couple of days they've made a huge impact.

"They've got a number of people around them as well which will help look at targets and look at everything about the player. I'll then have the final say over who comes in. It's very simple."
