Liverpool boss Rodgers happy with Kelly return

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was delighted with Martin Kelly's return for their friendly win over Preston.

Kelly, who suffered an ACL rupture which affected his right knee, played the final nine minutes of the friendly at Deepdale.

Rodgers said: "With Martin it was good to see him come back. He's trained throughout pre-season and done a couple of days of this week. It was a nice induction for him and that gets him up and running again."
