Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has hailed the form of Glen Johnson this season.

Rodgers has come out fighting on behalf of the Reds star after his latest impressive display in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Chelsea.

He insisted: "If there is a team of the season so far in the Prem, then Glen would be in it. He's one of the best right-backs in the world playing on the left."
