Liverpool boss Rodgers eager for Sturridge to learn from Suarez

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is eager for Danny Sturridge to learn from senior striker Luis Suarez.

Sturridge has been a hit since his £12million January switch from Chelsea, bagging five goals in just eight starts.

Rodgers admitted: "For me, the striker drives the train.

"When you look at history of this club, men like Ian Rush, Kenny Dalglish and Robbie Fowler. They have had number nines who have worked their socks off.

"Luis has played up there and is a great leader, the way he presses up there.

"This is why you love him as a manager.

"He has an absolutely amazing appetite for the game.

"He looks a bit tired with all the flying but he's out there working, running, chasing and doesn't get enough credit for it."
