Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is determined to land Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland next month.
The Sunday Express says Rodgers has £40 million to spend in January.
Butland has already played for England, and the Kop boss sees him a perfect replacement for Pepe Reina, who is now 30.
