Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has played down talk of a move for Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott.

Liverpool have been tipped to launch an £8m bid to prise him away from north London in January, but Rodgers insists this is not the case.

When asked about mooted interest in the 23-year-old, he said: "There's nothing in it. He's an Arsenal player."
