Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp won't rush to replace Pep Lijnders after his sudden departure this week.
The Dutchman left for the top job at NEC Nijmegen yesterday, catching Liverpool and Klopp on the hop.
The Liverpool Echo says Klopp intends to take his time before deciding how best to fill the void created by the surprise departure of trusted lieutenant Lijnders.
With Lijnders' exit coming out of the blue, Klopp must now consider whether to recruit a like for like replacement as first-team development coach or divide up his duties between existing members of his backroom staff.
The manager is fully committed to maintaining the close relationship between the club's two training bases at Melwood and Kirkby which Lijnders worked so hard to establish after being promoted to the first-team set-up in the summer of 2015.
