Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is baffled by PSG's world record swoop for Barcelona star Neymar.

Barca announced on Thursday morning that Neymar could leave for Paris so long as PSG met his €222m buyout clause.

The deal could have ramifications for Liverpool, where Philippe Coutinho is being linked with Barca as a replacement.

Klopp, after their friendly clash with Atletico Madrid, commented: "There are only two or three teams that can pay these sums. It is not possible a signing like this, for the subject of financial fair play, I do not know how can there be a signing like that, of this money.

"I hope it's an exception, but nobody knows."
