Liverpool boss Klopp released from hospital

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been released from hospital following a health scare.

The German checked himself in for tests following advice from club doctors.

After scans at a city centre hospital, he was allowed to return home after it was found that there were no serious problems.

Liverpool have since eased fears over the condition of Klopp by claiming that it was just a precautionary measure.

A club statement said: "Jurgen Klopp has attended a hospital appointment today as a precautionary measure, after feeling ill.

"He is being assessed by doctors and will be absent from training on Wednesday as a result.

"There are currently no plans for Jurgen to remain in hospital beyond his appointment and he will therefore return home this evening; however, he may require further check-ups in the coming days."
