Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reviving interest in Aston Villa fullback Jordan Amavi.

The Mirror says Liverpool are weighing up a move for Amavi after his proposed switch to Sevilla fell through.

The Spaniards backed out of an £8.5million deal for the 23-year-old Frenchman after medics refused to rule out a recurrence of his 2015 anterior cruciate ligament injury.

That has opened the door for other suitors and Liverpool are showing an interest.

But the Reds will only make their move if they can take Amavi on an initial loan to see how his knee holds up.
