Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will start against Carabao Cup opponents Leicester City.

Klopp has defended the midfielder over his slow start to the season.

He said today: “It's a fantastic opportunity now for Alex. He had an impact when he came on, now you have three of the line up!

“We have enough games for the players to get rhythm. It's not easy early in the season.

“We work with him and analysts, show him how we want to play in this position, that position. Really good that he's here."
