Liverpool boss Klopp: Lallana will get back into England squad

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists Adam Lallana will see enough action to earn his return to the England squad.

Lallana, 29, was one of Gareth Southgate's first picks until a serious thigh injury sustained during pre-season kept him out of action for almost four months.

"He will be an England starting player again for sure," said Anfield boss Klopp ahead of Monday night's game at Swansea.

"If Mr Southgate can afford to leave Adam Lallana out of his World Cup squad, then I can already congratulate on winning the World Cup because I can't imagine how strong your squad is.

"Adam was out for half a season and he requires all his physical strength, like every player. But we need him. Really need him for the rest of the season. He is really close to being 100 per cent.

"So far, he's played with all the genius moments, very decisive moments, you could see that he really feels the intensity. He had a big muscle injury so we can not push him through, and say "Come on, try it again, try it again". That is impossible."
