Liverpool boss Klopp holding talks with Mignolet over form and focus

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is holding talks with Simon Mignolet about his current form.

The Daily Express says Klopp plans talks with Mignolet before Liverpool's Boxing Day clash with Swansea tonight.

But Liverpool manager Klopp insists that the Belgian will never again make a blunder such as the one that helped hand Arsenal a point in the enthralling 3-3 draw at the Emirates on Friday night.

Mignolet, who has had an error-prone career at Anfield and been dropped several times by Klopp, handed Arsenal their equaliser on Friday when he disastrously flapped at Granit Xhaka's 30-yard shot.

After the game, former Anfield legend Jamie Carragher insisted that Liverpool would never challenge for the title unless they get in a goalkeeper of “decent quality."

But Klopp said: “We don't talk about that. It's my job. It's obvious. Everyone saw the mistakes.

“That will never happen again with Simon. He has never conceded a goal like that - so we don't have to make a big deal of it."
