Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is believed to be fuming after Adam Lallana suffered a thigh injury playing for England.
The Daily Mirror says the Reds boss will address the situation in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's Merseyside derby clash with Everton.
Lallana was seen clutching at his thigh in the tunnel at Wembley at half-time of Sunday's 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Lithuania.
The 28-year-old remained on the pitch for the entirety of the second half and received a kick to the same area late in the game which could keep him out of action for around four weeks.
It is understood that Klopp is wondering why there were inconsistencies surrounding England players.
Manchester City pair Raheem Sterling and John Stones (84th minute sub) were rested for the friendly against Germany last week before playing fresh against Lithuania, while Lallana started both matches for a total of 156 minutes of international action.
