Jurgen Klopp admits he would be very surprised if Swansea City were to sack Garry Monk anytime soon.
The Swans boss continues to receive negative press as his team wrestles a poor run which has seem then win just one in their past 10 Premier League outings.
In the wake of Sunday's narrow 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, Monk was again the subject of speculation but his Reds counterpart Klopp felt the pessimistic talk was all a bit premature.
"Not so much surprises me to be honest, but I would say I'd be surprised if it is the right decision to criticise him because this team plays very well," Klopp said.
"They showed a good reaction from the last results.
"I'm not sure what Swansea wanted to reach before the season starts but for this team I see no problem in the league.
"They will play a good role in the rest of the season I'm sure."
The result saw Swansea drop to 15th on the league table with 14 points from 14 matches.
