Liverpool boss Klopp delighted with Gerrard coaching

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has some advice for Reds legend Steven Gerrard, as he continues to learn about coaching at the club.

Gerrard is the current manager of the Liverpool under-18s, and he took them to third in the table this season.

And Klopp is delighted that Gerrard is enjoying his moment as a coach.

"I'm really happy that Steven enjoys [the coaching] because it doesn't happen too often that a player of his size starts on this level", Klopp told Bet Victor.

"That's why I always say it's a job you have to learn. If you are ready to learn it you don't have to be a genius to come through; you need to be busy and interested, and then it's possible.

"It's a big help that you have been a world-class player, because then you know all about the game and have your own ideas. But if it's the only thing you were - a world-class player but not ready to learn the next step - then it doesn't help.

"It's a fantastic time at the moment [at Liverpool] and hopefully Steven feels that he can really do what I miss very often - just train. Because the job now has so many things that sometimes there is no time for training and you think, 'wow, how did that happen?'"
