Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that he is looking forward to pitting his wits against 'best friend' David Wagner.
Liverpool will be squaring off against Huddersfield Town on Wednesday as part of their pre-season preparations and the match will be a special occasion for the two sets of managers Klopp and Wagner.
Klopp and Wagner share a strong friendship from their days at Mainz, as well as Borussia Dortmund, and ahead of the encounter, the Liverpool boss has stated that the Huddersfield manager is his 'best friend'.
Klopp revealed to LFCTV while producing an image of he and Wagner on a night out: “David Wagner is one of my best friends, maybe my best friend.
“We played a few years together and we didn't only play, we celebrated a few times!
“This is David [points to picture]. If you see him today you cannot believe that's him and that's me! I have a cigar in my hand but that was after the game.
“When I was in Munich I remember playing against 1860 and it was a draw and it was one of my best games for Mainz. Afterwards we went to the Oktoberfest, so it was a good night!"
