Liverpool boss Klopp blasts Henderson social media attacks: They write before they think

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has again hit out at skipper Jordan Henderson's critics.

Klopp has rubbished suggestions they're better without Henderson in the team and believes 'the hair is in the soup' – a German phrase meaning people will find what they want to find in a situation.

“I couldn't be less interested in social media," Klopp said. “I don't get social media. It's people writing before they think, that's what I think. I am different. I have to think before I do something.

“Jordan is the skipper of this team and he's a very important player for us. I only spoke about him after the game because I knew that after a positive result.

“We have a saying in Germany, 'the hair in the soup' and the world is like this. You find as they say in Germany 'the hair is in the soup'.

“You can play obviously without him. We have said many times that we need all the players at this busy time and they need to stay confident and in shape.

“Five days ago against Brighton he had a really good game. He is ready with fresh legs. If nothing happens until then he will start."
