Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Barcelona and Real Madrid would struggle in the Premier League.

If both Manchester City and Manchester United beat struggling Middlesbrough and Swansea this Sunday, Liverpool will find themselves down in fifth when they take on Watford on Monday.

"In my opinion, even for the greats of Spain it would be difficult to win the Premier [League]. Very complicated," Klopp told Marca.

“Of course, [Real] Madrid and Barca would be fighting up for everything, but it would be very difficult. They would not take it safely. In the Premier League there is nothing certain. The intensity is very high and many things happen in the games.

“There is not a single crash in which you win 4-0 comfortable and you can rest the headlines. That does not exist in the Premier League."
