Liverpool boss Klopp admits Sturridge to make way for Firmino

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits Daniel Sturridge is likely to be benched for their clash with Southampton.

Sturridge was impressive for victory over PSG in the Champions League, but is likely to make way for Roberto Firmino.

Klopp has confirmed Firmino is fit to start tomorrow after recovering from his eye injury.

Asked if he will drop Sturridge to make way for Firmino, he said: "In general it was positive impact and Daniel had in an intense game. A fantastic game from him and that's the best news.

"A lot of games will come [for him] and it's good to know he can play and we are pleased with his performance.

"Firmino and Sturridge can play together. They have in the past and will again."
