Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted admiration for Hertha Berlin youngster Mitchell Weiser.
Weiser shone for Hertha in their friendly defeat to Liverpool on Saturday.
Afterwards, Klopp admits wing-back Weiser caught his eye: "The right side of Hertha gave us a lot of problems. This was due to the quality of Hertha, especially coming from Mitchell Weiser."
A Germany U21 international, Weiser is a player very much in the style of the Klopp prototype and has been linked with a big club departure. He is tied to Hertha until 2020.
"I love to play against such players," he said of facing Liverpool. "I see what is missing and where I can step up. I want to play permanently at this level at some point."
