Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has until Christmas to impress the club's new owners.

Providing Hodgson steers the team clear of the relegation zone over the next three months he will be handed time and money to build a brighter future, says the Mirror.

Liverpool's board will enter the courts next week to win the right to sell the club to the US company that owns baseball team Boston Red Sox, against the wishes of current owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
