The England U17 international was outstanding in the recent FA tournament.

Clayton - even though he is also only 16 - has been on Liverpool's target list for a long time, says the News of the World.

And Roy Hodgson, who is an old friend of Crewe boss Dario Gradi's, is likely to step up that interest at the end of this season.
