Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson drew positives from Fernando Torres' performance in their 2-2 draw with Sunderland.
Torres put in a hell of a shift - and no one could doubt his commitment this time.
Hodgson said: "I thought he was much, much different to the first couple of games. And I will pat myself on the back by saying I told you so.
"People wanted to see his best the moment that he stepped back on to the field after the World Cup but I said he needed games, he needed time."
