Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish admits he asked too much of Andy Carroll when he arrived from Newcastle United last season.
Carroll did not make his Liverpool debut until March 6 following his £35million transfer deadline day move from Newcastle in January because of a thigh problem. He then missed another month after jarring a knee.
"Last season, we were a wee bit unkind on him and asked a bit too much of him. This season he looks a lot fitter," said Dalglish.
