Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish was delighted for Fernando Torres after his double at Wolves.
The brace means Torres is now Liverpool's top scorer for the season with a tally of nine - one ahead of both Steven Gerrard and David Ngog.
Dalglish said: "It's the best (Torres display) since I've come in. It wasn't just the goals, it was the workrate he put in. It really helped us.
"It sounds a bit strange, but the way he ran down the goalkeeper - the goalkeeper kicks it all the way down the pitch and that's a great asset for them, and he nullified it.
"He showed that he wanted to do something and he did it."
