Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish had no problem seeing photos of his players enjoying a beer in the Madrid sun this week.

The Kop boss had no problem this week in allowing Andy Carroll, Pepe Reina, Raul Meireles and Glen Johnson to jet off to Spain to watch Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Barcelona at the Bernabeu.

Carroll, the striker who vowed to stay away from the booze when he arrived from Newcastle, was even pictured enjoying a glass of beer.

But Dalglish said: “I’m not here to babysit. If they can handle the responsibility then we’ve all got a chance.”
