Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is reluctant to compare with Barcelona star Lionel Messi with other greats.
Dalglish was asked about the calibre of Messi following his double in Barcelona's Champions League triumph at Real Madrid.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "He's up there with the very best. I didn't see the game last night but I don't think one game will make a difference to that man's career. So, I would say he's up there with the best.
"I don't think you can compare him to others. He compares to Lionel Messi. He's his own man. He's a fantastic footballer and they are a great side to watch as well."
