Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish hasn't dropped his interest in Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

The Reds were reported to have ended their pursuit of the Sporting Lisbon striker this week as Manchester United post scouts to follow his progress.

However, Correio da Manha says Dalglish remains interested in Van Wolfswinkel, who he scouted personally last year for Liverpool.

Van Wolfswinkel moved to Sporting this summer from FC Utrecht and has been outstanding in the first months of the new season.
