Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish wants Manchester United to help with Luis Suarez's return.
The Sun says Dalglish will make his appeal to help diffuse tension at Old Trafford next month.
Liverpool will face United on February 11 in Suarez's first away game after his eight-match ban for racially abusing United's Patrice Evra ends.
That assumes they do not slip up in tonight's FA Cup clash with Oldham.
Dalglish knows his Uruguayan hitman faces a torrent of abuse from the terraces and wants United's aid.
Their rivals are willing to listen to Liverpool, having taken successful steps in the past to prevent sick chants aimed at Arsene Wenger.
