Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has laughed off comparisons between himself and Luis Suarez after victory over Wolves. One interviewer suggested Dalglish would have been proud to have scored his striker's brilliant winner.
The normally deadpan Scot tried hard to stifle a grin as he quipped: "Well at my age, yeah," which brought the house down.
Liverpool's 60-year-old boss tried to play down any such comparisons, stressing Suarez is a star in his own right and should be treated as such.
Dalglish said: "Everyone has their own identity and it undermines the person if you are comparing them to anyone else.
"He is Luis Suarez. He has his own ideas and he is certainly full of them.
"He certainly knows how to play and on and off the field he has been an absolute credit.
"Luis is a fantastic player and it's not fair to compare him with whoever has been here before."
Dalglish might have added: "Or who's here now."
