Liverpool boss Dalglish just happy to be working with Suarez

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish says striker Luis Suarez will always have his total support.

The FA Tribunal investigating the Suarez-Evra clash will report their findings on Tuesday.

But Dalglish said: "We've always had the highest regard for him so there's no need for us to change our opinion. I think Neil Warnock summed it up in his comments about him last week. It's nice to see other managers paying him compliments. He kept getting in there and got his goal. The more he tries, the more successful he'll be. He has great energy. He has been fantastic for us and will continue to be."

Dalglish saw evidence of Suarez's range of qualities long before Liverpool's director of football, Damien Comolli, set up his £23m transfer from Ajax to Anfield last January. Dalglish added: "Very early when I came back Damien told me we were in for Suarez. I said that will do for me. I'd seen him at Ajax.

"I don't think there's any doubt about the boy's strength of character. He went from Uruguay to Holland and learned to speak Dutch, which they say is the hardest language to learn. At Ajax he kept on working and was rewarded by being made captain. He's tremendously humble, as well. Humility is a fantastic plus for him.

"He's not expecting any preferential treatment.

"He's respectful to the staff, to the other players and to the people who work here. He's always got a happy, smiling face... and on he goes."
