Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish was beaming after victory over Stoke City.
Dalglish was quizzed on how much he was relishing the prospect of seeing Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll linking up with the likes of Raul Meireles and Steven Gerrard.
"They are four fantastic players," he told liverpoolfc.tv. "Obviously Andy is going to be a few weeks until he's fit, but we never bought him for a few weeks - we bought him for five and a half years. A few weeks out of that isn't going to do us any harm.
"I think those four are really good footballers and will compliment each other pretty well. But tonight it was every bit as important the defenders did their job properly to give us an opportunity to go and win it, and I thought they were superb."
