Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish was delighted to see Andy Carroll on the scoresheet in victory at Wolves.
The £35million flop, linked with a switch to Manchester City in a dramatic swap deal for Carlos Tevez, netted the opener before Craig Bellamy and Dirk Kuyt completed a second-half cruise.
Liverpool boss Dalglish said: "I said before the game that we weren't close to doing anything - people must think we lie, which I find insulting.
"Andy scored a great goal but there's no 'i' in team. Everyone made a contribution.
"It was a highly professional, high-quality performance."
