Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish admits he's delighted with the impact of left-back Jose Enrique.

The Spaniard arrived in August from Newcastle United.

Quizzed by journalists on suggestions Enrique was the best buy of any club in the Barclays Premier League during the summer transfer window, Dalglish replied: "We're just delighted to have him. He's not disappointed us in any way, shape or form.

"If other people have an opinion that's fine, but we're the ones who had to make the choice on whether to sign him or not.

"We did and we're pleased we did sign him. He's done really well for us."
