Liverpool boss Dalglish blanks talk of buying back Chelsea's Torres

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has blanked talk of buying back Fernando Torres from Chelsea.

The Daily Mail says Dalglish used the £50m from Chelsea's record purchase of Fernando Torres to buy Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez last January, and the Anfield boss could take advantage of next month's window to sign another striker.

A dramatic return to Merseyside for Torres is one possibility, but Dalglish gave little away on Thursday.

"We will do our business privately behind doors," he said. "We have the option to add if we want to but, also the other option, we don't have to.

"There will always be speculation but it's not a Panini sticker book! We're happy with what we've got."
