Liverpool boss Benitez satisfied with Cavalieri debut

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez was satisfied with Diego Cavalieri's debut in yesterday's 1-0 friendly victory over Tranmere Rovers.

Benitez brought new £3million goalkeeper Cavalieri on for his debut in the second half.

He embarrassingly delayed the restart because he was not ready for action, with Dan Agger having to tie the Brazilian's bootlaces for him on the pitch.

But Benitez said: "He did not have too much to do, but he is a keeper who will fight for his place and put pressure on others around him."
