Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez was happy with his team's performance, despite losing to Chelsea 3-2 on the night and 4-3 on aggregate in the Champions League semi-final second leg.
"In extra time we were much better until we conceded the second goal and the third goal killed off the game.
"It was a massive difference when we scored. We had control of the game, we had two chances so we were creating opportunities.
"But at the end of the day we gave away a penalty and a second goal, then the third goal."
The club's co-owner Tom Hicks appeared in the dressing room after the game, and was supportive of the manager and his players.
"He said congratulations because the team worked really hard and was a good comeback after conceding the first goal - positive things," added Benitez.
