Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is interested in Almeria striker Alvaro Negredo.
Sport says Benitez wants the Spanish striker, who will be re-signed by former club Real Madrid before being sold on.
However, Real's £13 million asking price is deemed too steep by the Reds manager.
