Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez admits he's spoken with Steven Gerrard about his form in the last week.

Reflecting on Gerrard's performance against Besiktas, Benitez told liverpoolfc.tv: "Yes it was much better. He knows that it was better and I was really pleased with him. I was talking with him before the game and about his particular role in the team. I felt he did a very good job for us."
